Spodelaide '98 - kinda like SpodTrek, only in Adelaide! Check it out! UPDATE: Spodelaide '98 has been ditched by one of the main organizers... I'll see what I can find out about a revival
Movies: Yeah, I like 'em. How about a link or two to a page about some movies, and where/when you can see them? Okies. =)
Hoyts - "Hoyts Australian Cinemas - Your Movie Guide"... whatever.
UIP - Er, not a movie, as such, United International Pictures is a movie company. This was the address given for the latest James Bond movie: Tomorrow Never Dies. I haven't checked this site out yet.
Milla Jovovich - Again, not a movie. This time the co-star (with Bruce Willis) in The Fifth Element, which I only recently saw on video.
Alien Resurrection - I haven't actually checked this site out much at all, but I liked the movie. There is an interesting article at the Silicon Graphics website about some of the special effects in the movie too (hmm... link?)
intel - Boring! Yeah, but look around for the performance comparisons... and see that MMX really does blow dogs. I don't see why they brought out a new chip (Pentium 233 with MMX) that even they say has poorer performance than the Pentium Pro 200 (according to their iComp rating system). Of course, now you can go PHWOAR! at the ratings of the even newer Pentium II chips... I wouldn't mind one of those...
CityRail - Ever noticed the CityRail logo? "L7"... no, not the band... an admission that they are "Late 7 days a week". Well, from this webpage you can get some timetables - I don't know if they are up to date (one would hope so!) - so you can see just how late they are...
How about some search engines (so maybe this bit is just for when I nook my bookmarks again...)
AltaVista - This search engine is supposed to be one of the best.
AltaVista @ Yellow Pages - Hey, AltaVista at an ozzie site... maybe this one will give you faster access *hope*
eXcite - this is what I mostly use (don't kow why - maybe I am an idiot)
NewsClassifieds - Maybe you can find a job here... there are many job advertisements listed from many Australian newspapers. Good luck!
SMH - That's right, The Sydney Morning Herald. Probably Sydney's best newspaper.
Where can you find those pesky web-based email places? Have a look at these:
HotMail - Hey, send some mail to biww@hotmail.com and see if it works.
MailCity - My brother has an account on here that he uses. It seems to work...
RocketMail - I haven't tried this one (remind me to check the link URL!).
