nine inch nails

Nine Inch Nails is the name of my favourite band - to the detrement of the rest of my family who do not like their music so much...

I haven't decided what to put here - there is so much already available on the web and so much of it is good... I don't wan't to duplicate too much, but there ain't much I can do about that...

Becoming a nails fan was a long time coming. The only NIN song I knew of was Dead Souls from The Crow, that is, Dead Souls was the only NIN song I knew that was NIN. I had been at a friend's place listening to some other stuff that I bought (almost at random), and she put on some nails - further down the spiral I think - and I did so like...

I later asked what it was that I had been listening to, and soon after went and got myself copies of both further down the spiral and the downward spiral (no sense in doing things by halves). And so I discovered that I did recognise some other nails stuff, like closer.

The rest of the Halos found themselves in my CD collectin within the next few weeks, including the closer to god single, for which I searched many a record store, and once found purchased two copies - one for that friend who got me hooked, since I knew she didn't have it... NIN makes the world go 'round.

More recently, however, I had my bag stolen. In it were several of my precious nails CDs - which I had only just got back that night from a friend who had them - and probably by some heathen(s) who don't even like NIN... the bastards. Some day, though, I will get the CDs again, and whoever stole the others will be dead.

Anyhow, I hope that some time I can go to a nine inch nails concert - my stereo will only play so loud. I'm sure the nails can afford to come to Sydney, Australia, but failing that, maybe they could fly me and my friends to wherever their (next?) concert is. Not that I am wishing/begging or anything...
